DESCRIPTION:
VORIOLE 50mg is a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal that inhibits fungal cytochrome P450–dependent enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase, blocking ergosterol synthesis — an essential component of fungal cell membranes.
This results in inhibition of fungal growth and ultimately cell death.
INDICATIONS:
VORIOLE 50mg is indicated for the treatment of:
- Invasive aspergillosis
- Candidemia and disseminated Candida infections
- Serious fungal infections caused by Scedosporium or Fusarium species
- Esophageal candidiasis
- Fungal infections resistant to other antifungals
PRESENTATION:
VORIOLE 50mg Tablets – Pack of 10 tablets.
Dosage: As directed by the physician.
Precaution: Avoid use in patients with known hypersensitivity to azole antifungals.
